Our mission is to address major diseases affecting human health in the 21st century. We utilize interdisciplinary approaches and advanced research methods in biomedical engineering to tackle key scientific and clinical challenges. We aim to cultivate a new generation of excellent medical engineering professionals.

Research Direction

  • Development of surface-modified drug-loaded micro/nanocapsules for targeted tumor therapy, focusing on achieving tumor-specific drug release and enhancing treatment effectiveness through controlled drug delivery.
  • Development of biomimetic 3D-printed phantoms as traceable standards for calibrating biomedical optical imaging devices, aiming to simulate multimodal and dynamic tissue characteristics for enhanced accuracy and reproducibility in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Integrating AI into dermatological diagnosis and treatment while advancing multimodal optical imaging and surgical navigation technologies to improve patient care and address clinical expertise shortages.
  • Utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing and regenerative biology to create complex vascular structures and develop vascularized tissues/organs, aiming to enhance organ function and offer improved regenerative medicine options for transplant patients.
