Tissue vascularization
Vascularization is crucial for bioengineering organ function, as it ensures the delivery of oxygen, nutrients, and removal of waste. By mimicking native vasculature, we can enhance the survival and function of the engineered tissue, paving the way for more effective regenerative medicine. Advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, have revolutionized the field of tissue engineering. These techniques enable the creation of intricate vascular structures and accurate mimicry of native tissue architecture on a large scale. By applying state-of-the-art technologies, our research aims to develop multiscale vessels and vascularized tissue/organ using regenerative biology, microfluidic approaches, and 3D/4D printing to provide more treatment options for transplant patients.
