Autumn Team-Building: A Day of Fun, Food, and Friendship

On September 28, 2024, our lab held this year's autumn team-building event at the Huanxiuxiaozhu Mountain Fun BBQ Camp in Suzhou. In the morning, the teachers and students from the lab were happily engaged in various activities while eagerly waiting for the delicious BBQ at noon. When the BBQ was served, everyone was thrilled.

Academic Visit to Nanjing Medical University for Brain Organoid Prospects

On December 15, 2023, Professor Ronald X. Xu and his team visited Professor Liu Yan's laboratory at the School of Pharmacy, Nanjing Medical University. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and exchange ideas about brain organoid cultivation issues. This academic visit allowed for the exchange of insights on the prospects of brain organoids and the establishment of a cooperative relationship.

Academic Visit to the Peking University Health Science Center

On December 10, 2023, Professor Ronald X. Xu and his team visited the Center for Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine at Peking University for an academic discussion with the researchers there. The focus of the discussion was the development of the field of organoid and myocardial repair. The next day, Professor Xu visited Professor Kai Wang's laboratory at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University. During the visit, they had a detailed discussion about the research direction and scientific issues related to vascularized organoids.

Presenting the Summary Report of the Annual Conference on National Focused Scientific Program

On December 10, 2023, Professor Ronald X. Xu presented a summary report at the Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing. The report covered one of the four major parts of the 2023 Annual Conference on 'Neuro-circulatory-reproductive microphysiological interactions and its intelligent evaluation system', which is the focused sub-program under the National Key Research Program 'Stem Cell Research and Organ Repair'. At the meeting, Professor Xu and his team thoroughly discussed the progress of this year's project and the work plan for the coming year with project leaders and review experts from across the country.

MBIT Lab Successfully Holds the Lab's May Meeting

On May 12, 2024, Prof. Xu hosted this month's group meeting. At the outset, he analyzed this year's Ph.D. enrollment situation, highlighting that "Opportunities are for those who are prepared," and "Not only should one work hard, but also look up and see the way." Furthermore, Prof. Xu underscored the need to strengthen research cohesion and promote a model where Ph.D. students guide master's students.
