The Lab for Multimodal Biomedical Imaging and Therapy (MBIT) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is recruiting Associate Research Professors/Postdoctoral Fellows

1. About the Lab:

Aligned with the principle of "originating from clinical practice and returning to clinical practice," the MBIT Lab utilizes advanced biomedical engineering technologies to address critical scientific issues, develop cutting-edge therapeutic techniques, and advance clinical translation. Our research areas encompass biomedical imaging navigation, microencapsulation and manufacturing, 3D bioprinting, vascularized tissues, and organ chips. We have undertaken over 20 national and local research projects, accumulating research funding exceeding 30 million RMB. We have published nearly 200 academic papers in high-impact journals such as Nature and Advanced Materials, secured over 10 authorized patents, and obtained registrations for three medical device products and software. The lab currently comprises 11 core faculty members (3 full professors, 5 associate professors, 2 postdocs, and 1 junior researcher) and nearly 50 graduate students (including 11 Ph.D. students). Professor Ronald X. Xu, the lab's director, is a USTC professor, a Ph.D. supervisor, a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK), and a senior member of the International Society for Optics and Photonics.

2. Recruitment Requirements:

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in biology, physics, optics, materials, or engineering, focusing on but not limited to:

     1. Microfluidic chips and micro/nano technology

     2. Organoids and microphysiological systems

     3. Biomedical sensing and instruments

     4. Biomedical optics and microscopic imaging

     5. 3D bioprinting

Minimum of three years' independent research experience in relevant fields.

Previous publications in SCI-indexed journals with strong technical writing and English communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and possess a strong research interest.

Diligent work ethic, responsibility, and team spirit.

3.  Positions Available:

 Associate Research Professor Series:
